The professional journal at - Automatisierungtechnik published in her December issue an article about working contents of the GECO►C research group. Subject was the regulation and optimization of Biogas plants by use of methods of Computational Intelligence.
Within the scope of his doctoral thesis the postgraduate Christian Wolf deals with the subject of the optimization of Biogas plants. In his article, which he has written in english together with Prof. Sean McLoone, he describes the use of genetic Algorithm and particle swarm optimization in Biogas plants. Thanks to these model investigations efficiency increases are to be achieved, without affecting the process stability of the real arrangement. In future, online measurements and optimizations become more and more important to manage Biogas plants profitably.
