At the "International Day of Water" praised the Aggerverband three outstanding theses of students from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, which have a reference to water management. The winners had their work produced under the direction of Prof. Dr. Bongards, the head of the GECO►C Research group. All three works were carried out at wastewater treatment plants of the Aggerverband.
"From the performance of the winners, we can benefit greatly as Aggerverband", enthused the chef of the Execuive Association Michael Richter. The Deputy Executive Association Prof. Lothar Scheuer stressed that the awards should give the winners a motivation boost. As a first examiner of all three works, Prof. Dr. Bongards, head of the GECO►C team, was especially pleased: "It's a good feeling for the young engineers when they see that the practice will benefit directly from the results of their research."
