30.11.2011: Regionale 2010 projects continue to form a regional network
Lindlar, the representatives of six Regionale 2010-projects, so called :gardens of technology, signed an arrangement which shows their willingness to further cooperation after the official period of validity. An important sign for the further cooperation. Now the Landfill Leppe, location of the project :metabolon, co-ordinates the projects network activities at the site in Lindlar, Bergisches Land. For this, the disposal center leppe is ideal. In the last years the landfill has been transformed into a research and innovation site, which provides an ideal platform for local, regional and international cooperation in the matter of environmental technology and futural energy as well as other future-relevant subjects. This is important to have a stake in the future and everybody is invited to participate.
The :gardens of technology are active economic and scientific locations in the region Cologne / Bonn. Presented topics are renewable energy, renewable primary products, water and space developments, recycling and energy recovery from waste, climate and environmental protection, space exploration, health as well as the question of optimal nutrition in the near future and will be explored in detail. The locations are developed into extracurricular learning places, which communicate not only the knowledge, but also demonstrate the innovation strength of the region Cologne / Bonn by transforming into public places. Additional cooperations with regional and international research institutions enhance this effect.
