Following the excellent opening - almost exactly one year ago - this year's "Open Day" also became a huge success. "Once again we have been lucky with the weather", Prof. Bongards, as research leader of the project :metabolon, was pleased. With about 7000 guests came considerably more people to Lindlar than the BAV (Bergische waste trade association), the operator of the former landfill on the Leppe site, had imagined it. Especially the colorful supporting program pulled the visitors from the nearer and wider surroundings to Lindlar: Besides the research many regional suppliers as well as the "Bergisches Energy Competence Center" presented themselves. They were available primarily for personal conversations.
"There were a lot of visitors, who were interested how our research is applicable to them, i.e. in her own home", says Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Stockmann. "Thus, we had to refer them to future results,but it was nice to see, that the local residents had a big interest to us and our results." "It was all around an excellent day and we are very pleased with the resonance", Prof. Bongards completed smiling.
