Movable jet aggregates for tank cleaning

Flow and jet aggregates are already used in stormwater retention basins to clean the basin after a heavy rainfall event of settled dust. However, such aggregates dispose merely of a limited mobility in the horizontal and of no vertical movement possibilities. At the same time, such systems have no possibility for the automatically detection of pollutions. The aggregates setting occurs on the basis of experience values of the employees. Therefore the flushing happens often too long and sometimes also at the wrong places.

To improve the energy efficiency of such plants, a moveable jet cleaner will be developed, which automatically releases the basin of pollutions. For this purpose image processing and recognition methods will be developed, which recognize the degree of pollution by means of a camera and calculate the necessary cleaning algorithms. Additionally, a new drive for the jet cleaner is developed which offers a greater freedom of movement including vertical axis of motion.
