VDI - Verein deutscher Ingenieure (Association of German Engineers)
>The VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure) is, with approx. 130,000 personal members, including 20% of students and young engineers under the age of 33, one of the largest technical/scientific associations in Europe. It is regarded as the spokesman for engineers and engineering in Germany as well as the leading institution for the further education of and the exchange of experiences between specialist and management personnel. As a non-profit-making organisation and one that is not dependent on economic and party-political interests, it represents the professional and sociopolitical interests of engineers as well as students of engineering. The aim of the work that it carries out is the transfer of technical know-how as a service to all engineers and scientists who are working and studying, and to companies, the state and the public.
