DWA - Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V. (German Association for Water Management, Wastewater Treatment and Refuse Disposal)
>As a politically and economically independent association, the DWA is committed, as a technical/scientific expert association, to the promotion of research and development. Its approximately 14,000 members include local authorities, universities and colleges, engineering offices, public authorities and businesses as well as the specialist and management staff employed in these.
The DWA is committed to sustainable water management, offers a forum for ideas and the exchange of opinions and supports the policy through the advice that it gives.
Specialists from all areas of water management document the “universally recognised rules of the technology” and compile the set of DWA rules from these. The results of their work are technical sets of rules, training choices, high-quality specialist publications as well as public-relations materials covering the fields of water management, wastewater treatment, waste disposal and soil protection.
