Computational intelligence refers to a field of information technology in which an attempt is made to formalise successful biological concepts that have arisen in nature in the course of millions of years and to translate them into technical and business applications. The models used in this connection are frequently made up of several specialist areas, such as artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems and genetic algorithms.
>There are often synergies between the specialist areas: thus, for example, genetic algorithms are frequently used to design artificial neural networks and fuzzy systems. Further examples are so-called neuro fuzzy systems which can be presented either as a fuzzy system or an artificial neural network without any loss of information. Thus they can, on the one hand, be represented as a fuzzy system in a form that is understandable or, on the other hand, use the powerful learning processes of artificial neural netowrks.
Through the use of these techniques over a long period of time our team has a high degree of knowledge-based competence in relation to dealing with and the application of computational intelligence methods.
