23.05.2011: Energy from waste - research services with :metabolon
The Congress: Metabolon took place in IHK Cologne and was chaired by Professor Bongards, Cologne University of Applied Sciences, in his function as scientific director of the innovative project aligned. Main topic was the role of the Leppe landfill as a research site of the Cologne FH. The public event was marked by high professional competence. A fact that the technically relevant authorities and industrial companies recognized by active participation. Thus, the Merkens hall was well filled during the arrangement and also the poster presentation was used to a lively exchange of the participants together.
In a good two hours eight lectures treated to the project :metabolon were offered. Thus, the lectures of Prof. Dr. Glinka (FH Bingen, knowledge transfer into practice) and Dipl.-Ing. Christian Wolf Dipl.-Ing. Christian Wolf (GECO►C-Team, optimization of biogas plants) bumped of particular interest to the audience. It was especially gratifying also, that Prof. Dr. Astrid Rehorek (Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science), ), Prof. Dr. Christiane Rieker (Institute of Agriculture Technology and Renewable Energy) and Mrs. Lichtinghagen-Wirths, director of the UW Waste Management Association in Oberberg, could be obtained as speakers. They pointed to the participants with their papers and the basis for decisions for the project and made simultaneously on the wide range of the innovative project (research network, biogas research, use of rest materials).
